lyrics
WE'RE COMING OUTSIDE
You gotta look inside the head of the beast
- you'd better -
You gotta spit some muddy silk on the cyst
- you'd better -
you've got an immeasurable anger to feed
-you'd better-
You gotta bring your people back in the dread
Watch out and follow me
Watch out and follow me
Beware it's a son of our sins you better
Watch out and swallow him now
Unfolding rite in the darkest sea
-A burden so strong-
trembling belly
-So come on !-
Haunting insomnia we feel
We're coming outside now
We had everything to conceal
We're coming outside… Now
You gotta sprinkle all the stars on the ground
- you'd better -
You gotta trample on it, see lights abound
- you'd better -
You gotta eat a scaffold and drool the soul
- you'd better -
You gotta spin your silly heart in the coal
Watch out and follow me
Watch out and follow me
Beware it's a son of our sins you better
Watch out and swallow him now
A trail of eyes in the darkest cave
Falling over the hill
forming the wave
So come on !
Haunting insomnia we feel
We're coming outside now
We had everything to conceal
We're coming outside… Now
And now we see the light
it's something we can't fight
If only we were the sun
A sun in a summer dawn…
so we could run inside !
Run inside baby !

One of the most spectacular albums I've heard since Lateralus. Amazing that this came as the output of a person grieving the loss of people whom they built lives and careers together with. The pain yet exuberance of this music is so enlivening, full of need for empathy and sympathy yet also hope and joy in carrying on to be an awakened person and express the highest good. Advosary
The Long Island metal band's third album etches arena-sized hooks into their jagged compositions, deftly balancing experimental and poppy inclinations. Bandcamp Album of the Day May 12, 2022
